Karlsruhe, 27/1/2015 – As part of the Allstars Cup 2014 final in Cologne, Gameforge is announcing a deeper commitment to S.K.I.L.L. – Special Force 2 in eSports. Together with the Electronic Sports League (ESL), the German games company is expanding the current offering with additional events and leagues. The main focus of attention is on the ESL S.K.I.L.L. Pro League: the top class of leagues for all S.K.I.L.L. – Special Force 2 clans. The best teams will fight here in two seasons for prize money of at least 30,000 euro. The first season will additionally end with a final at this year’s gamescom. All ESL leagues and cups together, the prize money for this year is already at a minimum of 56,000 euro.
The finals, play-offs and selected group matches for the ESL Pro League will be broadcast live on Twitch.tv by ESL TV. More information on the game and the ESL leagues can be found at http://skill.gameforge.com/news/333/.
Passion and S.K.I.L.L.
The ESL Major League replaces the two currently well-known and successful formats – the ESL Euro Series and the Allstars Cup. Alongside 3,000 euro prize money each season, the two best clans in the Major League will also rise up into the ESL Pro League. S.K.I.L.L. – Special Force 2 clans that want to try out their luck in eSports can get their money’s worth with the ESL Open League and the ESL Open Cup. Standing by the motto ‘Good Luck and Have Fun’, an easy entry into competition is the focus here. The ESL Open League serves as a springboard to the higher leagues.
The popular Go4S.K.I.L.L. Cup, an ESL Major Cup since December, will continue to run in 2015 as such. Every Sunday, clans will have the chance to win prize money of up to 200 euro.
