Karlsruhe, July 17, 2019. Gameforge AG will again be the main partner of this year’s Schlosslichtspiele in Karlsruhe. The company is proud of its local roots and looks forward to putting its passion for both the city and for audio-visual entertainment on display. The palace façade will become the centre-point for Europe’s largest digital artwork between 8th August to 15th September under this summer’s motto ‘A Summer of Love and Life’.
Since 2015, the summer months have seen the palace transformed into a giant canvas for fascinating displays, hundreds of thousands of visitors coming to the palace grounds to enjoy the spectacle. Over 40 magical nights, an array of animated works from internationally renowned artists is projected onto the palace walls.
Last summer over 350,000 visitors came to view the short panoramic films, spreading their picnic blankets out on the palace lawns, and similar numbers are expected this year.
‘The Schlosslichtspiele are such an amazing event to have in our home town,’ says Alexander Rösner, Gameforge’s founder and CEO ‘and we’re really proud to be able to offer our support. And it goes without saying that we’re excited to see how the crowds enjoy our promotional film.’
One Minute of Gameforge Fireworks
As an innovative IT company, Gameforge is not only providing support as a partner, but will also bring its own creativity to bear. A small team of video artists at the international games publisher (SoulWorker, Metin2, OGame) has been working on a lavish one-minute promotional film which will be projected onto the palace as part of the evening programme.
‘We want to show visitors who we are and what we’re capable of, putting both the pride in our region and our international outlook front and centre,’ explains Toni Glöckle, Head of Media Production at Gameforge.
There’ll be plenty to look forward to when the international film contributions dance over the baroque palace walls for the ‘Summer of Love and Life’ and put a smile on visitors’ faces once more in 2019.
