Free iPad app now available in App Store
Karlsruhe, 30/10/2012 – The universe is going mobile: Gameforge is releasing the free OGame iPad app during the tenth anniversary celebrations of its browser-based strategy hit. Intergalactic battles and conquests with thousands of players at the same time are now available whilst on the move.
The game has been optimised visually to the new features for the iPad app: the galaxy view and the fleet menu as well as fleet movements have been tailored to the iPad. Buttons and selection menus have all been reworked to provide a clear and intuitive operational concept.
New space heroes can register for free with an email address and password and then enter in competition with existing users from the browser version. Conversely, browser players can also log in via the iPad app at any time and enjoy the adventure whilst on the move or from their favourite cosy spot.
Players that register now with the free iPad app will also profit from the plentiful supply of events celebrating the ten-year anniversary.
OGame is a browser-based and completely free-to-play strategy game set in a science-fiction universe. Players create an economic and military infrastructure with the ambition of facilitating the newest technological advancements. Through the construction of metal, crystal and deuterium, the player's empire grows and thrives: other players can be attacked and their resources can be looted from the debris of their planet. Players can join together in an alliance to work as a team against aggressive planets, to share resources or in times of war, share fleets with one another. Having been in existence since 2002, OGame is celebrating its 16th anniversary this year and in doing so, can be counted as a veteran amongst browser games.
