Music Video Contest Launches with Great Prizes
The Berlin-based publisher Frogster is inviting Runes of Magic players to enter a massive music video contest called ‘Rock Taborea’. The challenge is for players to produce a music video for the popular a cappella metal band Van Canto’s new single, ‘Betrayed’. Participants can use extracts from the last Runes of Magic trailer or personal recordings from the game.
The video should last no more than five minutes and consist only of scenes from Runes of Magic. All those who upload their video to YouTube and send details of their full name, address, forum username, a link to the video, and the title of the music video to email@example.com will get the chance to win one of these fantastic collections of prizes including a life-size cut-out of the winner’s Runes of Magic character, a signed copy of the new Van Canto album ‘Break the Silence’, a Van Canto T-shirt, the box version of Runes of Magic Chapter IV, as well as a special-edition Chapter IV mousepad by SteelSeries.
Frogster’s recently introduced feature for Runes of Magic, Magic Hub, will help players to create their videos by facilitating the capture of videos and screenshots of the game. This new user-friendly interface also gives players the chance to open the official forum or post status updates to Facebook while playing and boasts other useful features.
For those in need of a little inspiration, some of the first video entries will be available for viewing from the 23rd of September, giving participants time to create their own masterpieces before the deadline for entries passes on the 14th of October. The judging of the videos will be completed by the 21st of October, and the winning video will be featured on Van Canto’s official website.
