Karlsruhe, 17/11/2015 – In the latest update to the action MMORPG TERA: Fate of Arun, Gameforge and developers Bluehole unveil a brand-new start area – Stepstone Isle. The patch also features an improved character creation system for new heroes, providing a direct overview of the later skills available to each class. Players who log in at least once during the patch week will receive a permanent Winged Band for free.
New Start Area: Argons Besiege Stepstone Isle
Once the new start area is open, Stepstone Isle will host players taking their first steps on the journey through Arborea between levels one and eleven. In the bracing new storyline, this idyllic haven is besieged by the argons. TERA veterans who have already arrived in the capital Velika can fly back to the island on a pegasus and attempt to foil the attackers’ evil plans. Newer players who still have uncompleted quests on the Isle of Dawn, the current starting area, will be automatically teleported to Stepstone Isle.
For Young and Old: Battleground Information and Tips for Returning Players
Newcomers who dive straight into the PvP carnage will receive extra markers on the battleground maps during their first ten matches, highlighting goals for both attackers and defenders alike. A free chest containing equipment will also provide a smoother reintroduction to the game for returning players. In addition, every player who logs in at least once during the patch week will receive a permanent Winged Band for free.
Just Do It: Improved Character Creation System and New Character Selection Screen
A comprehensive overhaul of the character creation system, complete with short descriptions and videos, will provide new and returning players an improved overview of the available classes and help them in their choices. There’s also something for veteran TERA players in the form of a new character selection screen which displays up to eight characters marching towards them. Players can determine which of their characters should appear where, and by clicking on a character can bring up details about them, such as the last time played or their guild name.
Creature Comforts: Updated Chat Channels
Under the surface, the patch also introduces some changes to the social features in TERA: Fate of Arun. The chat channels are now personalised and make communication between players easier. The Looking for Group chat now only displays messages from other heroes who are within four levels of the player’s character. Furthermore, Private Chat channels now have a separate menu, and clicking on a chat tab automatically changes the channel.
