Karlsruhe, 15/12/2015 – The video/song contest ‘Playing with Fire!’ for side-scrolling MMO Elsword has now ended and the winners have been announced today on the contest page, http://elsword.co.uk/contest. A video cut, inclusive of the announcement, can be viewed at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Gh3I_6u_0E
Up until 30th November, the community got to nominate their top 10 entries per category from over 150 submitted video contributions for submission to an international jury, who then distributed a prize pot with a value of 20,000 Euros amongst these finalists. ‘I’m overwhelmed by the response to our Elsword Contest. We received more than 150 submitted cover and in-game ideas in the form of videos – and that in such a short space of time’, summarised Ji-Yoon Park, Product Director of Elsword.
The jury’s decision was not made easy thanks to the high level of quality and creativity on display. ‘The videos that I watched and evaluated all looked incredible. There was so much passion and creativity in them. I am always fascinated by our community’s panache, even when making a decision for the first three places is made so much harder as a result.’
Tai Wuang ~SHINDEHAI with cover video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4YxQ8f4bcQ and GLAUCYUS with the in-game video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBgVkTzOMys impressed the grand jury across the board and can now look forward to receiving the top prize – a coupon for a trip to South Korea worth 6,000 Euros. All other winners are listed under http://elsword.co.uk/contest.
The MMO Elsword impresses with its unique mix of 2D side-scrolling and role-play in an anime style. This two gameplay traditions are fused together in Elsword to form a unique and dynamic gaming experience. The exciting story centres around the mythical Eldrit stone, from which the continent of Elios draws its energy. Eight masters protect it; creatures such as the machine-like Nasod even derive their life-force from it. One day, the stone shattered and the pieces were strewn across the entire world. Now the task of uniting the stone once more and ensuring the survival of Elios lies in the hands of the players. In over 35 dungeons, the players must fight their way through an exciting world full of action, magic and adventure. Elsword is already wowing European players in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Poland.
